Elgin Watch Co., Elgin, Illinois, "Father Time" with wind indicator, 18 size, 21 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to 5 positions, sun ray damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, free sprung cut bimetallic balance, gold timing screws, gold jewel settings, and gold wheel train in a yellow gold filled, screw back and bezel, engine turned and engraved open face case and Arabic numeral, outer red 5-minute markers, double sunk white enamel dial, blued steel spade and poker hands, serial #15154831, c1910.
CONDITION:
CASE: Dings; Band with small flat spot; Minor scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches on inner surface of case; Engine turning worn smooth; Gold filled with minor brassing; Crown an incorrect replacement. DIAL: Hairlines in enamel, light, 10:00, wind indicator to seconds bit. HANDS: Poorly refinished. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Winding wheels have a few spots of oxidation; Some screws with minor oxide; Balance endstone setting with minor marring. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
